KT Rama Rao wants to keep it moving
Hyderabad: TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has asked party MPs to raise their voice in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha about the assurances mentioned in the AP Reorganisation Act for the state, that are due five-and-a-half years after bifurcation.
For the first time since being appointed working president, Mr Rama Rao chaired the party parliamentary meeting on Friday at Telangana Bhavan. TRS Parliamentary Party leader K. Keshava Rao formally welcomed Mr Rama Rao to the meeting.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed the strategy to be adopted in the upcoming Winter Session of Parliament.
While briefing MPs on the issues to be discussed in Parliament, Mr Rama Rao told the MPs that the party will take a stand based on issues, but ultimately the TRS' stand is aimed at the all-round development of Telangana state.
He said that the state government has given representations to the Centre on handing over defence land for roads in Hyderabad, National Investment and Manufacturing Zone status for Pharma City and various other projects. He asked the MPs to follow up on these issues.
He told the MPs that the TRS Bhavan in Delhi will soon come up with advanced technology in place where MPs can access complete information related to government schemes, policies, and programmes.
