Khammam: A ten-day Golconda craft bazaar is commenced from Friday in Khammam. Items like pearls, embroidery clothes stitched by banjara women, dry flowers, terracotta articles, blue pottery, art forms, Kashmiri shawls and jute carpets will be available in it.
Inaugurating the craft bazaar at pavilion grounds, Telangana Handicrafts Development Corporation managing director Sailaja Ramayyer said that the corporation is working for the welfare of nearly one lakh artists in the state.
“Artists will get sustenance and people will obtain good products at affordable prices,” she said, adding that the products are sending to the private show rooms too. Municipal commissioner Sandeep Kumar Jha said that the corporation will extend all support to the artists.
