Arrest those who attacked minorities: YSR Congress
GUNTUR: The YSR Congress leaders demanded arrest of culprits belonging to upper caste, for allegedly attacking the minorities of Janapadu in Guntur district.
YSRC MLA Md. Mustafa, leaders Kasu Mahesh Reddy, L. Appi Reddy and others, said that the culprits belong to Piduguralla and that they beat the minorities mercilessly at Janapadu. They alleged that the Telugu Desam government and police department are supporting culprits and demanded arrest of culprits. Guntur Rural SP Ch. V. Appala Naidu warned of strict action against outsiders, trying to enter Janapadu.
Piduguralla YSRC Assembly convener Kasu Mahesh Reddy lamented that the minority youth of Janapadu won the cricket match but sadly, the upper caste youth did not take it in a sportive spirit he result with sportive spirit and beat black and blue. Continuing allegations he said that further upper caste youth brought rowdies from Piduguralla carried attack on locals including women. He stated that Sk Subhani, G Hasina, Sk Shahina, G Buday, M Saidbee and Sk Buday severely injured and several others received injuries in the attack. He claimed that the police was unwilling to at least take the complaint and after dharna in front of Piduguralla police station the complaint was taken. He further claimed that the police did not arrest the real culprits and demanded justice to victims of minority community.
Victims Shahina and Hasina lamented that 16 people belongs to upper castes of Piduguralla with rowdies forcefully entered their houses with heavy clubs and beaten them and other local minorities. They severely alleged the culprits them out from their by holding their hair and beaten them on the road verbally abusing them with their community name.
