Chennai: The temple of justice has to remain open for litigants to knock the doors at any time. The closure of the temple shakes the faith of the common man, said Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul. Replying to the farewell address, Chief Justice S.K. Kaul said, “It is only with his objective that I have repeatedly appealed to members of the bar that the choice of abstaining from work is not available to the practitioners of this noble profession.

Lawyers are the officers of the court who are meant to advance the cause of justice by prosecuting the case of their clients. Impediment in this area did cause concern”. The bench and bar of the Madras high court on Thursday bade farewell to Chief Justice S.K.Kaul on his elevation to the Supreme Court, at a simple function held on the premises of the high court. Advocate general R.Muthukumarswamy delivered the farewell address.
