Bharatkeveer site crashes
Hyderabad: Bharatkeveer.gov.in, the website set up by the Union home ministry for those who wish to donate to central paramilitary forces, including the CRPF, crashed on Saturday as many Indians tried to contribute to the jawans martyred in Pulwama.
“The website wasn’t responding for two hours in the morning. The screen displayed an error,” said Mr Rahul Rajkumar from Mumbai, who tried depositing money on Saturday. “I tried once again in the evening. But no luck.”
Mr Deepak Kal from Hyderabad said, “After several hours of trying, was able to contribute a small amount. That’s the only genuine thing we can do as a citizen of Bharat.”
“Too bad that it doesn’t work at the time of need. The app seems to be hung up,” tweeted Pramod Pillai, a contributor.
After the website crashed, the ministry of home affairs expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support for Pulwama martyrs on @BharatKeVeer. “We experienced a heavy surge of visitors due to which it is slowing down. We request patience while we work on technical solutions.”
The State bank of India created an UPI for BharatKeveer initiative. One can now help the families of Indian brave hearts by contributing through the UPI using VPA bharatkeveer@sbi.
