Tamil Nadu: Slipper hurled at Union minister Pon Radhakrishnan

Salem: In an extremely unfortunate development, a slipper was hurled at Pon Radhakrishnan by a member of a fringe Tamil outfit during his visit to the house of the deceased Dalit scholar in Salem on Thursday.

The BJP leader called on the bereaved family members of Muthukrishnan and paid his last tributes to the deceased youth, amid protests by VCK cadres against his visit. Then, as he addressed the media, someone in the larger group hurled a slipper at him. However, the slipper missed the target and fell near the TV microphones lined up in front of him.
