Roja attends Goddess festival at Paderu
Visakhapatnam: The State Tourism minister RK Roja said that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy created Alluri district to uplift the tribals and develop the agency area on par with urban towns.
Participating in the Modakondamma Goddess village festival at Paderu in the Alluri district on Tuesday, Roja said that the festival was not celebrated due to Covid-19 in the past two years. It was a great feeling to participate in the religious festival here along with all tribal communities, she added.
"Our Chief Minister Jagan's services and facilities for tribals have not been provided by any Chief Minister in the country. That credit goes to only Jagananna," Roja said. Jagan is fond of forming a district in the name of Alluri Sitaramaraju, a revolutionary who fought for the tribals, as part of the division of districts," she said.
She said that she was aware of the Modakondamma temple and the deity have an important history in the Agency area which is worshiped by tribal and non-tribal communities. She said Jagan Mohan Reddy sanctioned a medical college, an engineering college and a super specialty hospital for the development of the area. Roja described the Araku Valley as Switzerland, noting that the Araku Valley and the Borra Caves have unique beauties. She said that efforts will be made to develop Araku and surrounding areas to attract tourists from all over.
