CM Siddaramaiah Writes Letter to Union Health Minister, Supports AIIMS in Raichur
Raichur: Supporting the demand for setting up All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Raichur, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has written a letter to the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
Defining Raichur as one of the most promising districts in the country, the Chief Minister highlighted the region's lower levels of healthcare, education, and per capita income compared to other areas.
Moreover, the district faces geographical challenges due to extreme weather conditions. These factors underline the urgent need for state-of-the-art medical facilities in Raichur.
Siddaramaiah stated that the establishment of AIIMS in Raichur would deliver world-class medical facilities, fulfilling the healthcare requirements of the local people.
The Chief Minister emphasized the growing demand from both the public and the elected representatives of the region for starting AIIMS in Raichur and stated that the development of Kalyana Karnataka holds paramount importance for the government.
Minister of Minor Irrigation, Science, and Technology, NS Boseraju, had recently approached the Chief Minister, urging him to submit a proposal to the Central Government advocating AIIMS in Raichur. Responding promptly, the Chief Minister has written a letter to the Union Health Minister.
