Eight killed, 14 injured in road mishap in MP's Ujjain
Ujjain: At least eight people were killed and 14 others injured in a horrific accident that took place at Aagar Road of Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain city in the wee hours of Saturday.
The accident took place at around 3 am when a truck coming for Alirajpur collided with a dumper coming from the other side of the road.
"There are eight casualties in the horrific incident and 14 others have sustained injuries. The people were coming from Alirajpur to participate in Nalkheda Hat and a dumper was coming from the other side when they collided. It might be possible that either of the vehicles was driving fast and as it was a steep turn, the accident took place," Shailendra Singh, ASP, told ANI.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced to provide an assistance of Rs. two lakh each to the family of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to those injured in the accident.
