Modi has failed to fulfill his poll promises, says Rahul Gandhi

"Its been two and a half years now but Modiji has not been able to fulfill any of his poll promise...none of the bank accounts got the promised Rs 15 lakhs but Mallya was able to escape from the country," Rahul Gandhi said while addressing a meeting of farmers at Mauraipur here this evening.
Rahul who arrived in Jhansi on the 10th day of "Deoria to Dilli kisan Yatra" reiterated "Kisan trast, Modiji mast" and vowed that he will make the prime minister listen to the woes faced by farmers.
Exhorting party workers to span out to villages and collect the names of farmers, their addresses and loans in their names and send it all to him, Rahul said his party will draw the attention of the prime minister on this issue and also stage protests.
Congress party wants that farmers loans are waived off, their power bills are cut by half and they get the right price of their produce, Rahul said adding that Modi has not done anything in farmers' interest so far.
"Though he has waived off loans of the capitalists, he has not done the same for farmers," he said.
