Chandrababu Naidu seeks funds from Centre in Union Budget

Naidu invited Jaitley to attend the partnership summit to be held in February in Visakhapatnam.

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu held a detailed meeting with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in New Delhi on Wednesday where he made a special mention about revenue deficit and sought special funds in the Union Budget. Earlier, he attended the CII seminar.

The CM reminded the Jaitley of the assurances made in the AP Reorganisation Act. He also said another contractor was ready, in case the existing one was not in a position to complete the Polavaram project.

Naidu invited Jaitley to attend the partnership summit to be held in February in Visakhapatnam. At the CII preparatory meeting, he said the State was witnessing a double-digit growth. The CII Summit had been convened in the State six times during his regime, he said, adding that that the fiscal system of the country was strong.

The CM also said that both Hyderabad and Cyberabad were developed by him and added that the State was doing well in Ease of Doing Business.

Every house in the State was being given 15 MBPS speed Internet connection through fibroid. “Giving broadband connection at Rs 149 per month is unique in the country,” Naidu said.

He added that the State had taken up green capital construction and Amaravati was a convenient city in the law and order purview.
