Vote BRS for agriculture, BJP for gun culture, says Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Ministers T. Harish Rao and G. Jagadish Reddy on Tuesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) “conspiracies” would not work in the state and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would score a hat-trick of wins in state Assembly elections.

Addressing party cadre at an Atmeeya Sammelanam in Choutuppal of Munugode Assembly constituency, Harish Rao said: “BRS is synonymous with welfare and development of people. BJP is synonymous with conspiracies. BRS represents agriculture, while BJP represents gun culture. Party leaders and workers should explain this to the people.”

The leaders hailed the public of Munugode, the latest battlefront which the BRS won last November following Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy’s jump to the BJP, for welcoming the BRS.

“Our party president announced to change the name of TRS to BRS in October 2022 and Munugode bypoll was held in November 2022. Munugode people heartily welcomed the transformation of TRS into BRS by giving a memorable victory against BJP. BRS government lived up to the expectations of Munugode people and that's why a 100-bed government hospital came to Munugode today,” Harish Rao said.

Jagadish Reddy, meanwhile, said that the undivided Nalgonda district etched itself in history by electing BRS contestants as MLAs in all 12 of its segments.

“This record was not possible for any other party. This was possible because of the welfare schemes and development programmes being implemented by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. The entire Nalgonda district has, once again, decided to rally behind KCR in the upcoming Assembly polls,” he said.

He credited the party’s pro-farmer policies for paddy production increasing tenfold in Nalgonda, from 4 lakh tonnes in 2014 to 47 lakh tonnes at present.
