Ab ki baar, 300 paar, says Prime Minister Narendra Modi

PM Modi takes no questions at presser citing party discipline.

Bhopal / New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday predicted 300+ seats for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) while winding up his campaign at Khargone.

“Voters in the country would elect a majority government for second consecutive time after decades in this poll,” he said while addressing his last election meeting in western Madhya Pradesh.

“This Sunday, when you go to exercise your franchise you will be scripting history. After decades, you will be electing a majority government for second time in a row,” he said.

“From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Kutch to Kamrup, a common refrain among people in the country is, ‘Ab ki baar, 300 paar. Phir ek baar Modi sarkar (This time, NDA will cross 300 mark and Modi government will return)”, he said.

Later, addressing his first press conference after coming to power in 2014, Mr Modi reasserted that the BJP will come back to power with a full majority, but refused to take any questions, citing party discipline. In a surprise move, Mr Modi showed up on the dais at the BJP headquarters in the national capital for a scheduled press conference by party president Amit Shah, who gave a detailed report card on the performance of the NDA government.
