Rains forecast over north coastal AP, Yanam
VISAKHAPATNAM: The low-pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha-West Bengal coast is now lying over north Odisha and neighbourhood, with the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level.
The monsoon trough is currently passing through the centre of depression over northeast Arabian Sea off Saurashtra coast, Deesa, Raisen and Ambikapur. The centre of the low-pressure area is over north Odisha and neighbourhood and thence south-eastwards to the east-central Bay of Bengal, extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.
Under the influence of this system, rains accompanied by lightning are likely at isolated places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam for the next two days.
