NIZAMABA: District Congress Committee former vice president and former municipal vice chairman G. Bhaktavatsalam urged AICC to allocate more seats for Backward Classes especially Munnuru Kapus in the erstwhile Nizamabad district.
He exuded confidence that the people of all communities would support the Congress in the Assembly elections.
Munnuru Kapu is one of the biggest communities in the district and deserves two seats, he said. Bhaktavatsalam said that people were vexed with the misrule of Narendra Modi and K. Chandrashekar Rao-led governments at the Centre and in the state respectively. He called upon the people to make a success of Rahul Gandhi's visit to Nizamabad district on October 20.
