Uttrakhand: Muslim govt employees get special break for Friday prayers
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting on Saturday chaired by Chief Minister Harish Rawat.
Dehradun: A special 90-minute break will be given to the government employees from the Muslim community in Uttarakhand for Friday prayers, official sources said.
A cabinet meeting yesterday, chaired by Chief Minister Harish Rawat, decided that a special break from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. will be given to the employees from the community, they said.
The Congress government made other decisions like consent for a detailed project report for metro which has been given to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The state government also posed a penalty of Rs 2 crore and Rs 2.5 crore for PG doctors for violating bond of 5 years with the state for essential service. The state goes to poll next year.
