Strict dress code for Neet 2018 in place

No arrangement will be made at the centres for storing any articles/items belonging to candidates.

Hyderabad: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) authorities have announced a strict dress code for the forthcoming National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2018, scheduled for May 6. The board has already uploaded the admit cards for the test at www.cbseneet.nic.in.

All candidates must adhere to these guidelines. For example, though Muslim women candidates are allowed to wear hijab and burqa, they must come in at a prescribed time for checking. Similarly, only married women candidates can wear bangles inside the examination venue. Male candidates must wear light-coloured clothing and half-sleeve shirts only, not kurta-pyjama. Instead of shoes, only sandals or slippers will be allowed. Women are not to wear rings, pendants, necklaces, nose rings, earrings, or any kind of jewellery. Additionally, candidates are not allowed to carry any stationery or textual material, such as paper, geometry box, pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen drives, eraser, calculator, log table, electronic pen, scanner, etc. into the examination centre under any circumstances.

Candidates will be subjected to extensive and compulsory frisking before they enter the centre, with the help of highly sensitive metal detectors.

No arrangement will be made at the centres for storing any articles/items belonging to candidates.

Barred Items

The candidates are not allowed to carry the following items inside the examination centre under any circumstances:

n Any communication device such as mobile phone, any Bluetooth device, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, etc.

Other items like wallets, goggles, handbags, belts, caps, etc.
Ornaments or accessories, including watches, cameras metallic items.
Edible items either loose or packed, water bottle.
