Warangal: Locals rally to give homeless man home
Warangal: Adepu Ramanatham, 70, a homeless man who was living in the premises of the Mahankali temple in Rangashaipet has now found a home.
It is a story where the entire community rallied together to give him a home. The locals had been caring for Adepu, but because of the heat his health had deteriorated.
The locals informed the district Child Welfare Committee chairman M. Parashuramulu about him. Mr Parashuramulu in turn called Md Yakub Bee and Chotu, caretakers of the Sahrudaya orphanage for the elderly.
The caretakers reached the spot and agreed to take Adepu upon the request of the locals.
Mr Parashuramulu said, “Adepu was working as a tailor. Recently, he had lost his wife and son. His only daughter abandoned him, and since then, he had been living on the streets and begging for food”.
