YSRC accuses CBI of dragging Viveka case

VIJAYAWADA: YSR Congress state general secretary and advisor to government Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy accused Telugu Desam Party of making Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy's murder case part of its political agenda.

Addressing media here on Tuesday, he accused TD of conspiring to implicate Y.S. Bhaskar Reddy and MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy in the ongoing probe.
“This may trouble Bhaskar Reddy and Avinash Reddy for some time, but the cases against them will not stand scrutiny by courts,” the YSRC leader pointed out, asserting that justice will prevail in the end.

Ramakrishna Reddy accused TD-supporting newspapers and channels of conducting a media trial in Viveka's murder case. In this context, he pointed out that a lot of publicity is being given to prime accused Dastagiri’s words, despite his statements being contradictory.

The YSRC leader said as Telugu Desam has nothing to say about what it had done for people during its rule, it is trying to use Viveka's case to tarnish Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's reputation.

Ramakrishna Reddy wondered when the eyewitness in the case is watchman Ranganna, why is CBI taking into account the words of approver Dastagiri. He recalled that Dastagiri had been made an approver when CBI could not solve the case. “The investigation agency is now conducting a drama in the name of investigation,” he remarked.
