Rajahmundry: Income tax sleuths carried out simultaneous raids at the residences of three brothers from Allada family and seized some documents pertaining to land transactions and as well as hard disks of their family auditor at Amalapuram in East Godavari on Tuesday.
Several IT personnel carried out search operation at the residences of Allada Swamy Naidu and his brothers Vasu and Sarath from Monday to early hours of Tuesday and seized some incriminating documents about their involvement in huge volume of financial transactions for purchase of land and other businesses.
Allada brothers have varied business interests including aquaculture and are closely associated with the ruling Telugu Desam party.
Amidst the strained relationship between the BJP-led NDA regime and the Telugu Desam government, the surprise raids on properties of Allada brothers causes concern to TD.
