YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's car locked at Vizag airport
Visakhapatnam: Police and protocol officials had tense moments at Vizag airport on Friday morning when the bullet- proof car arranged by the Srikakulam police for YSR Congress supremo and Leader of Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy failed to open. The car was sent by cops for Mr Reddy’s visit to parts of Srikakulam. After reaching the airport, the staff and police in the bullet- proof car forgot the keys inside the vehicle and locked it from outside.
Though the cops tried their best to open the lock, their efforts have proved futile. As the time of Mr Reddy’s arrival was closing in, the police immediately called the Superintendent of Police, Srikakulam, for a separate vehicle. When the SP said it would take two hours to send another car, the protocol officials at the airport panicked.
Meanwhile, the protocol official requested the Commissioner of police T. Yoganand to send a bullet-proof car for Mr Reddy. The bullet- proof car arranged by Vizag police reached the airport minutes before the arrival of the YSRC chief. The protocol and police official heaved a sigh of relief.
