INDRAVELLI (ADILABAD): Supporters of contesting candidates for the Adilabad MP seat in the recently held Lok Sabha elections are betting huge sums on candidates with counting of votes scheduled to be held on May 23.
Supporters are betting on TRS candidate Godam Ganesh, BJP candidate Soyam Bapurao and also Congress candidate Ramesh Rathod.
Majority of the bets are on Soyam Bapurao and Godam Nagesh, especially the former due to Narendra Modi’s wave in addition to Bapurao’s personal image as state president of the Thudum Debba.
Supporters are betting from Rs 10,000 to Rs 1 lakh on their candidates.
Punters are not revealing the betting trend and the information is only circulating in closed circles to avoid the attention of the police.
