Telangana: 99 acres evacuee land sale to be cancelled

A total of more than 750 acres of land is pertaining to evacuee property.

Hyderabad: In a major decision, the Rajendranagar deputy collector has recommended the cancellation of allotments and sale certificates issued by the Ranga Reddy Joint Collector pertaining to 99 acres of evacuee land in Puppalaguda.

Evacuee land encroachment, allotments and regularisation have become controversial with the files pertaining to some of the survey numbers going missing from the Tahsildar’s office as well as from the Land Administration of TS and Puppalaguda panchayat office.

The Rajendranagar deputy collector and tahsildar V. Chandra Sehkar has submitted a report to the Ranga Reddy district collector in which Mr Sehkar recommended: “A reminder letter may be addressed to government for cancellation of the allotments and sale certificates issued by RR joint collector during 1994 over an extent of 99.04 acres in survey numbers 280, 281, 285, 297 to 300 and 304 of Puppalaguda. The allotments were made then identifying the allottees as local tenants. In fact, there are no recorded protected tenants over the evacuee lands located in Puppalaguda village in Rajendranagar mandal.”

Regarding other survey numbers, the deputy collector recommended that documents of certain allotments in the present revenue records be verified to ascertain the genuineness of the allotments and notices issued.

The deputy collector has recommended that notices be issued to certain individuals identified as Totharam and Chandiram, Ravinder Kumar, son of Thirumal Balwani, Toumal Ponajeinmal and Gangamal Vasumal. A total of more than 750 acres of land is pertaining to evacuee property.

Evacuee land: Suo motu revision recommended
The deputy collector further recommended, “A suo-motu revision may be taken in respect of the land in Survey number 308 to an extent 14.29 acres over the claim of son of Ravindra as the land is covered by recent judgment. Praneeth is claiming the land as per 2005 orders of MRO Rajendranagar basing on registered sale deed of 2002 from Santadas Lekhraj. A suo-motu revision may be taken for cancellation of entries in the revenue records from 1972-73 onwards in respect of land in survey number 345 extent 7 acres and 20 guntas situated in Puppalguda village as the entry was made basing on the allotment orders issued in favour of Jassibai Widow of Dayabux. Subsequently, the land in survey No. 324 & 345 was deleted from the allotment. As per the final orders issued in favour of Jassibai, the land in survey No. 345 extent Ac.7-20 gts was not allotted to her.”
