Hyderabad: Telangana Director General of Police Anjani Kumar on Tuesday held a crime review meeting for the month of August 2023. Anjani Kumar along with CID chief Mahesh M. Bhagwat highlighted life imprisonment verdicts secured in grave cases disposed of during the month.
This year so far 135 life convictions were awarded in the state by various courts. Rachakonda secured the highest number of life convictions so far in 14 cases followed by 13 in Cyberabad, 12 in Sangareddy, 10 in Jagtial, 9 in Hyderabad and Nizamabad. The DGP congratulated the investigating officers for the excellent work.
