Nayandahalli, located along the Mysore road, is a major transport junction of the city and is plagued with accidents and traffic problems. Commuters are greatly inconvenienced here because of the pending Metro work and badly laid roads. It’s important therefore to speed up the Metro work and repair the roads as soon as possible. Potholes need to be filled and the white-topping of roads completed at the earliest without inconveniencing the commuters.
There is also a need for more police here to man the traffic. Introducing shuttle buses to the Metro station could also help as they could ferry people safely to them.As for bus shelters, the roads need to be sufficiently wide to accommodate them. The larger the city, the greater its complexity and the potential for disruption, especially if the complexity is not effectively dealt with. The government needs to take proper measures to solve the many problems on Mysore Road in the interest of the commuters.
