Hyderabad: Top City Cop Warns Rowdy Sheeters
Hyderabad: City police commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy has cautioned all those involved in brutal crimes and unlawful activities of stringent action.
Counselling rowdy sheeters from the city at ICCC here on Wednesday, he said that 107 of CRPC was the most effective means to prevent disturbances, specially communal, during festivals, fairs and political activities. This will also help maintain peace and tranquility, Reddy said. He added that repeat offenders would be dealt with an iron hand.
Any person or group found guilty of disturbing peace in any area will be bound over and initiated with 107 CRPC, the commissioner said.
After conducting an inquiry, he identified some unsocial elements notorious for fighting among themselves and indulging in criminal acts creating public nuisance.
In Kalapathar police station limits, a rivalry between a gang led by Mohammad Shahnawaz Ghazi and one led by Mohammad Arbaaz, had in 2018, led to the killing of three persons.
The commissioner counselled and cautioned Arbaz, Ghazi, Syed Majeed, a sheeter from Banjara Hills and Syed Aijaz from Asif nagar.
