Hyderabad: The spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) continued in Telangana with three more cases reported on Friday, taking the total to 19 so far.
Two of the new three cases were part of a 10-member group of Islamic preachers from Indonesia. Eight other members of the group have already been diagnosed as Covid-19 positive. The patients were brought to Hyderabad from Karimnagar.
The third new positive Covid-19 case was that of an 18-year-old girl who recently returned from London. The health department said she was first admitted to a private hospital which then referred her case to the government.
Tests conducted on her after admitting her to the TB and Chest Diseases Hospital in Hyderabad showed she was coronavirus positive.
The government did not release any data on the number of people tested on Friday, the number of pending results, something it has been doing from early days of the pandemic in the state.
