Revanth, Etala spar over alleged Congress, TRS relation
Hyderabad: TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy on Friday dared BJP MLA Etala Rajendar to repeat his allegation under oath at the Bhagyalakshmi temple, that the BRS had paid the Congress ₹ 25 crore during the Munugode bypoll.
Rajendar had made the allegation during a press conference here, to show how the BRS and Congress cozy up to each other. “It’s an open secret that the Congress received ₹ 25 crore during Munugode (bypoll). Will there be any evidence of that,” Rajendar said.
“Nothing is left secret. Ask them (Congress leaders) if the TRS (BRS) didn’t send the money. Even now the BRS is the first to react (on Congress’s statements) and KCR and his ministers react to everything. They are like two sides of the same coin,” Rajendar said.
Responding to this, Revanth Reddy dared Rajendar to prove the allegations with evidence. Talking to mediapersons at his residence, Revanth Reddy challenged Rajendar to repeat the allegation under oath at the Bhagyalakshmi temple at Charminar.
“I am ready to speak under oath at 6 pm tomorrow (Saturday). As the BJP believes in Bhagyalaskhmi, are you ready to take an oath and speak the truth,” Revanth Reddy asked Rajendar.
The TPCC chief said every paise that the party had spent on the bypoll had come from party workers, primarily come from the weaker sections. “It does not behove Rajendar to stoop to such a low level and humiliate them for their hard work,” he said.
