Thundershowers, windy weather likely for next five days in Telangana
HYDERABAD: Moderate rains and thundershowers were reported in Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Nalgonda, Nirmal, Rangareddy, Suryapet, Warangal, Adilabad, Hyderabad, Narayanpet, Karimnagar, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Peddapalle and Sangareddy districts on Wednesday.
According to Telangana State Development and Planning Society, Nalgonda recorded a rainfall of 65.5 mm, followed by Mancherial at 58.3 mm and Kumaram Bheem 50.8 mm.
The state is likely to experience heavy rains and thunderstorms with the onset of the low pressure area. As a result, light to moderate rains or thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places in the next five days.
For the next 48 hours, the city will experience hazy mornings. Windy weather with light to moderate rains or thundershowers can also be expected, with westerly winds at a speed of 10-12 kmph.
The IMD said that the low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal-north Odisha coasts and the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height persisted and is likely to move northwestwards across Jharkhand in the next two days.
