Employees' Provident Fund Organisation's paperless programme delayed

Sanat Kumar said that of the total UANs of 6,59,191 in the region only 68,543 accounts have been properly linked with Aadhar so far.

TIRUNELVELI: Gross mismatch of personal details in the provident fund (PF) accounts of employees and in their Aadhar cards has delayed the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in Tirunelveli region becoming fully paperless. Responding to media persons queries on the ongoing process of linking Aadhar with the Universal Account numbers (UANs), the regional PF commissioner of Tirunelveli, Sanat Kumar said that of the total UANs of 6,59,191 in the region only 68,543 accounts have been properly linked with Aadhar so far.

“However we have been striving hard to achieve paperless office by linking proper linking of the UANs allotted to the EPF members with Aadhar before August 15, 2018, in the region,” added the PF commissioner, who also said that by successfully linking 95 per cent of the 1.25 lakh pensioners’ Aadhar with their PF accounts, the EPFO in Tirunelveli has almost achieved its first success in the mission.
