Krishnagiri: A team of advocates supporting O.Panneerselvam faction handed over a notice to V.K. Sasikala, now in Bengaluru jail, challenging her appointment as the interim general secretary for AIADMK.
On Tuesday, advocates headed by R.K. Babu visited Parappana Agraharam prison in Bengaluru. Babu, while explaining about his visit to the Parappana Agraharam, told reporters that a notice was handed over to Sasikala through the assistant superintendent of prison.
He said “Sasikala received the notice handed over to her through the prison officer and to which she is supposed to give reply before the case comes for hearing before the election commission on February 28.”
“The notice was given by us according to the orders of Ashwani Kumar Mohal, undersecretary for the Election Commission of India,” he said. Ashwani had ordered to serve copies of the petitions to the respondent Sasiskala. The petitions were filed on February 16, 2017 challenging Sasikala’s appointment as the interim general secretary of AIADMK.
