BRS government will help every farmer: Minister

Warangal: Panchayat raj minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Wednesday appealed to farmers who have lost crops in the recent hailstorm and heavy rains not to lose heart.

“BRS government is farmer friendly and has implemented many schemes for welfare of farmers. It will surely support farmers during their hour of crisis,” Dayakar Rao assured, pointing out that the government has helped farmers in the past by purchasing every single grain they have produced.

The minister was speaking after inspecting fields damaged in heavy rains at Haripeerala and Karkala villages in Thorrur mandal of Palakurthy constituency.

Seeing Dayakar Rao arrive, farmers started weeping in front of him, explaining their problems and hard work they had put in. But the hailstorm undid everything.

The minister consoled the farmers, asking them not to worry and be brave. He said KCR’s government, all ministers and area’s BRS representatives are with the farmers. Officials are conducting a survey and will prepare a report on the loss. The government will sanction compensation as early as possible, he maintained.

Dayakar Rao also visited Valmidi village in Jangaon district and inspected construction works going on at the Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy Temple in the village, taken up as part of developing a tourism corridor in the district.

The minister ordered officials to speed up and complete the works, so that the ensuing Sri Ramanavami celebrations can be held on a grand note at the temple premises.
