APSHCL Signs MoA at Goa G20 Summit
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh State Housing Company Limited (APSHCL) has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) of the Union ministry of power at the global platform of G20 Summit in Goa on Saturday.
The landmark MoA is to supply 6 lakh LED bulbs, 3 lakh LED tube lights and 3 lakh BLDC ceiling fans in the first phase to the beneficiaries of Jagananna colonies under the Navaratnalu – Pedalandariki Illu (NPI) scheme of AP government.
AP’s special chief secretary (Housing) Ajay Jain said their objective is to offer top-quality, cost-effective and energy-efficient appliances to beneficiaries under the NPI housing scheme. “Each family under the scheme will get 4 LED bulbs, 2 LED tube lights and 2 energy-efficient fans at cost effective prices. This will lead to an estimated saving of 734 units of energy per house per annum. Overall, under phase 1 of the NPI scheme, AP will save 1,145 million units of energy per annum,” Ajay Jain stated.
The agreement was signed and exchanged between Ajay Jain and EESL senior adviser for government affairs A. Chandrasekhar Reddy and EESL CEO Vishal Kapoor in the presence of union power secretary Pankaj Agarwal union additional power secretary Ajay Tewari, EESL chairman Sreekant, BEE director general, Abhay Bakre and BEE secretary Milind Deore.
