Visakhapatnam: Union minister of state for panchayat raj Kapil Moreshwar Patil handed over appointment letters to eligible candidates at a function held in Port Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.
Rozgar Mela is one of the initiatives by the Central government towards employment generation to provide jobs to 10 lakhs youth in the country in a time-bound manner of 12 months starting from October 2022. As a part of 1st to 6th trenches of Rozgar Mela conducted from October 2022 to June 2023 approximately 75,000 to 80,000 appointment letters per month were issued and in the seventh trenche of Rozgar Mela approximately around 70,000 appointment letters were issued on Saturday across the country in different Central government departments/undertakings.
Central board of indirect taxes and customs, Visakhapatnam is organising this seventh tranche of Rozgar Mela within the state of Andhra Pradesh to issue appointment orders to the candidates who have been recently selected to various Central government departments/undertakings within the state.
It was organised by Visakhapatnam custom house in coordination with other Central government departments like Railways, Dept of Posts, Navy, FCI, AIIMS, LIC, SBI, Bank of India, IIT, Tirupati.
The mela was attended by Sanjay Pant, chief commissioner, customs and CGST and Mithilesh Kumar Jha, principal commissioner of income tax, Visakhapatnam.
