Telangana: Niti Aayog calls for young blood to curb cyber crimes
Hyderabad: The latest Niti Aayog report talks about a major overhaul of the cyber security task force due to a rise in the number of cyber security issues faced by companies. It noted that more hands are need in the task force.
The presence of more youngsters will be a welcome change, said cyber security officials. The MCA syllabus includes a security audit course, which has cyber attack case studies.
Professor Kishore Kothapalli, IIIT-Hyderabad, said, “The current generation is well-versed in technology. The security audit course makes them familiar with current security systems.”
P. Ravi Kiran, inspector cyber crime station, said, “The state is not fully equipped to handle cyber crimes. Social media crimes and hacking are the order of the day. There are also many companies who face the loss of data.”
Officials said that the recommendations could lead to a new policy. “There are four levels of entry into the police force and students will have to write the UPSC or TS board exams,” said Raghuveer, ACP, CCS.
