Hyderabad: L&T Metro gets interim relief from HC on food court
Hyderabad: L&T Metro Rail got relief at the High Court over the lease of its premises for a food court at the HiTec City Metro Mall in Madhapur. The court on Wednesday suspended two judicial orders pertaining to lease, where the lessee had complained of poor facilities.
A vacation bench comprising Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao and Justice A. Rajasheker Reddy issued interim directions while hearing pleas moved by L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited. The company had challenged the order of a single judge who had directed the police to register an FIR against it on the charges of cheating levelled by Urban Asia Restaurants Pvt Ltd.
The company also sought a stay on the injunction orders granted by the city civil court which restrained L&T from intervening in the day to day operations of the restaurant at the Metro Mall.
The vacation bench suspended both the orders, the one issued by the single judge and the injunction orders of the civil court.
The dispute is over the implementation of the agreement between Urban Asia and L&T Metro Rail to run a food court at the Metro Mall at Madhapur. The food court licensee alleged that L&T had made false promises about providing facilities to run their business.
