Awaiting govt word on concoction: Sarvepalli MLA
Nellore: Sarvepalli legislator Kakani Govardhan Reddy said on Sunday Bonigi Anandaiah would resume production of his concoction consisting of different herbs as per the guidelines of the state government.
Speaking to media persons here, the MLA said the government would prepare an action plan on production and distribution of the mixture after examining the reports of Ayush and ICMR teams. He lamented over comments against the preparation in a section of media, creating unnecessary apprehensions among the people.
“If this medicine can save lives of even ten people when the pandemic is playing havoc with the human race, the first person to welcome this would be Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy,” he asserted. He said, “CM has been paying special attention to the subject ever since he came to know about its positive results and his concern is that there should not be adverse side-effects because of the concoction.
He is also looking at options such as decentralisation of distribution to prevent overcrowding.”
Govardhan Reddy condemned the false propaganda on social media on the arrest of Bonigi Anandaiah, the man behind the concoction, and his team. Indicating to Anandaiah sitting next to him, he said he knew Anandaiah for a long time and was confident of his knowledge in Ayurveda yet he wanted to proceed further only after the government came out with an action plan on its production and distribution.
Responding to a question on the Ayush team declaring that the concoction is not Ayurveda medicine, Govardhan Reddy hinted that the government would deal with the issue.
Anandaiah thanked the MLA for the support to his preparation. He said he would follow the directions of the legislator and the government henceforth.
