Bhopal: A purported video, showing a girl dancing at a programme of Congress in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, has gone viral on social media, leaving the ruling party red-faced.
The video showed a hip-gyrating dancer giving her performance on stage with the banner of Congress in the backdrop amid thunderous applause by the people gathered on the occasion.
Senior Congress leaders of the state, along with some ministers in the Kamal Nath government featured in the banner in which the party name was mentioned.
The banner read, “Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee Panchayat Raj Meet”.
Local Congress leaders, however, expressed doubt over authenticity of the video. “We are looking into the matter, a spokesman of Congress said here on Sunday.
