No Telangana High Court relief to actor Prabhas on land
Hyderabad: In a setback to Tollywood actor Prabhas, the Telangana High Court on Tuesday refused to restore his 2,083-sq. yard land and guest house at Raidurg Pan Maktha in the city to him. The land had been seized by the revenue authorities in December last year.
However, a division bench comprising Justice V. Ramasubramanian and Justice P. Keshava Rao directed the state government to consider his application for regularisation of the land within eight weeks.
While dealing with a plea of Prabhas alias Uppalapati Venkata Satyanarayana Prabhas Raju, the court said the land fell within the CS-7 litigation zone. The court found fault with the revenue authorities for the forcible dispossession of the land parcel and declared the action of revenue officials unlawful because the due process of law was not followed.
The court said the state should pave the way for solving cases on all CS possession lands at one stroke if it wanted to redu-ce the number of cases.
