GUNTUR: The sudden rain and with gales are troubling the people of Guntur for the past three days. The people are facing a different atmosphere as they were experiencing 44o Celsius temperature during day and sudden rain and gales during night time. Besides this, the people are also facing problems with the absence of power for hours as a result of power lines getting uprooted and tripping of transformers. Sudden rain started at 7 pm on Tuesday night. The people who faced very hot day came on to the road to enjoy the showers but the atmosphere turned violent with the mix of gales and heavy rain. There was poer cut in Brodipeta, Arun-delepeta, Gorantla, Pattabhipuram, Cobaltpeta, Nehru Nagar, Donka Road, Sarada Colony, Nagaralu and others areas which forced the public remain in darkness. Big hoardings and trees fellen on to the power lines which created trouble to APSPDCL to restore power.
