CM orders quick action in Nandyal
Kurnool: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has ordered officials to expedite the work on the construction of houses sanctioned to beneficiaries. The CM also directed them to ensure that every house in urban and rural areas is provided with necessary facilities like tap water connection. They should also be provided 20 litres of purified drinking water at a nominal cost of '2.
The CM addressed a review meeting on the developments in Nandyal town with district officials at the Roads and Buildings (R&B) guesthouse on Sunday where he said it is the responsibility of the officials from Roads and Buildings, Panchayat Raj and municipal departments to get the works completed that were sanctioned under various schemes.
He ordered the director of Municipal Corporation K. Kanna Babu to initiate steps to clear all unwanted shrubs and garbage from the town. He said Nandyal should be beautified as was done at Visakhapatnam. He also ordered the officials concerned to ensure steps for facilitating with fiber grid at every village in the constituency. The CM directed authorities to replace the electric poles wherever necessary during the road widening works in the town.
Tourism minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, information and technology minister Kalva Srinivasulu, minister for agriculture Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, district collector S. Sathya Narayana, joint-collector Prasanna Venkatesh, other district officials and contractors were present at the meeting.
Later, the CM participated in TD activists meeting in the same place and suggested them to be alert on public issues. They should help to resolve problems of people with coordination of offici-als and maintain good relat-ions with public, he said.
