Hyderabad: The arrangements and facilities provided by the Hyderabad traffic police and other government departments were appreciated by the people who turned up in large numbers for the Ganesh nimajjanam on Sunday.
As promised by additional commissioner Anil Kumar, the Balapur and Khairatabad Ganesha idols began their journey on schedule. The traffic police updated users by posting tweets about the movement of important Ganesh. Netizens appreciated the efforts put by the police.
When the Hyderabad traffic police page tweeted, “Balapur Ganesh has passed GPO, Abids,” Twitter user Venugopal replied, “First-ever procession completed within timeframe.. Hats off to entire team (sic).”
Twitter user Viswakumar said, “Well organised by Hyderabad police department.”
When the Hyderabad traffic police page said that commuters could cross between the eastern and western parts of the city at Basheerbagh crossroads, Twitter user Viswanath Toshniwal posted: “This is being a very crucial junction, this type of facilitation has really given relief to a lot of commuters.”
