Kakinada: The ACB Court in Vijayawada has extended the remand of Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu at the Central Jail upto October 5 in relation to the Skill Development scam.
After completion of the CID questioning, the ACB court judge talked to Chandrababu in online mode. The judge asked Naidu whether the CID officials used any third-degree method to extract information from him, whether the CID allowed advocates’ presence during the questioning and whether there was any trouble to him and whether the officials arranged for his medical check-up.
Chandrababu told the judge that the CID did not use any third degree method and they allowed his advocate into the interrogation room, and gave Naidu a break for five minutes for every one hour.
Naidu told the judge that he had given answers to every question from the CID. He reiterated to the judge that he had no role in the skill development –related irregularities, and that he had not committed any mistake.
The TD chief told the judge that the case was booked against him by way of political revenge.
The judge told Chandrababu not to feel guilty as he was still in the role of an “accused” (in the skill development scam) and not a criminal. According to court procedures, he was given judicial remand. The remand petition would be heard on Monday, the judge told Chandrababu.
After hearing the arguments from both sides on Monday, a decision would be taken on his bail, the judge promised the TD chief.
When the advocates of Chandrababu were arguing about not extending the remand, the judge responded, “Justice is equal to all.”
