NSUI Demands Rs 1 Lakh Compensation for Group-I Candidates After Exam Cancellation

Hyderabad: NSUI state president Dr Balmuri Venkat on Saturday demanded that the state government provide Rs 1 lakh compensation for Group-I candidates after the Telangana High Court cancelled the exam and directed it the TS Public Service Commission to conduct it again.
Dr Venkat alleged that the BRS government had failed to conduct crucial exams without disruption. This was the second time that the Group-I exam was cancelled due to negligence of the government, after the October 16, 2023, exam was erased due to a question paper leak.
More than 2 lakh candidates had appeared for exams. The court found fault with the government and cancelled the Group-I exam and the students will have to take the exam yet again, he said.
