Ayushman Bhava is highest healthcare scheme in the world, says Bharati Pawar
VIJAYAWADA: Union Health Minister Bharati Pawar has said the central government is providing the best health and medical care to every citizen through the Ayushman Bhava scheme.
“The scheme aims to ensure good health for the common man,” she said while inaugurating a voluntary blood donation camp organised by the NTR district health department at KBN College here on Sunday.
She also participated in the Ayushman Bharat health cards distribution held at the Urban Primary Health Centre in HB Colony. This initiative commenced on Sept 17 and will continue till Oct 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, across the country.
Bharati Pawar said, “The Ayushman Bhava is the most extensive healthcare scheme in the world. It provides full health coverage to every person as desired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
"This apart, various programmes are being implemented for the diagnosis and prevention of diseases like TB in rural and urban areas. Camps related to Ayushman Bhava are also being organised for distribution of Ayushman Bhava identity cards. Both blood donation and organ donation are very necessary,” she said.
She noted that many people were dying due to lack of blood. “Apps related to blood donation and organ donation are being introduced and people are invited to come forward to donate these,” the minister said.
