Thiruvananthapuram: The Supreme Court has closed a contempt case against IPS officer under suspension Mr Jacob Thomas after he tendered an apology.
The case pertained to the critical remarks made by Mr Thomas against two judges of the Kerala High Court. The High Court had initiated the contempt proceedings.
Mr Thomas had maintained before the SC that he had no intention to raise any allegation against judges, but only pointed out how the prosecutors and investigators misled the judiciary in some high profile cases.
It was in a petition sent to the Central Vigilance Commission that Mr Thomas made the remarks.
