Husband of BJP corporator, 3 others booked
Hyderabad: The husband of a Bharatiya Janata Party corporator in the city and three others were booked for alleged trespass and criminal intimidation by the Chaitanyapuri police.
One K. Srinivas, 38, a resident of Kothapet approached the police on Saturday night and lodged a complaint stating that he owned 30 sq yards of land at RK Puram, near the BJP office. He said he had a land dispute with his neighbour. He alleged that BJP RK Puram corporator Radha Dheeraj Reddy’s husband Dheeraj Reddy had intervened in the dispute.
Srinivas alleged that four persons Dheeraj Reddy, Venkatesh, Bablu, Ramakanth and Kumar had trespassed into his land and threatened him against building a house.
Chaitanyapuri inspector S. Sudershan said, “Srinivas and his neighbour had some issues regarding the land. Dheeraj and a few others were called by the opposite party to help settle the issue. Srinivas is alleging that they restrained him illegally and threatened him with dire consequences.”
The inspector said that a complaint was given against Srinivas by the opposite party with similar allegations, and a counter case had been booked.
