K Sudhakaran, Suresh Gopi visit kin of Periya victims
KASARGOD: KPCC working president K. Sudhakaran's visit to the home of slain Youth Congress worker Sharath Lal created emotional scenes on Sunday.
When Mr Sudhakaran asked his sister Amrutha to stay strong and take care of her mother, she broke down.
"How can I live..? My life has been gone forever...," the postgraduate student cried out in memory of her brother.
The emotionally choked scene made his father Sathyanarayanan losing his composure.
"My son was at the forefront of every activity in this village. He was neither a full-time politician nor a hated one to chop him off like pieces," he said.
Mr Sudhakaran was unable to console them. He requested the support of the family as KPCC is approaching the high court demanding CBI to probe the twin murder of Lal, 24, and his friend Kripesh, 19.
He alleged that all the arrested in the case are dummies, and the real killers are at large. He also visited the family of Kripesh.
Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Gopi also visited their houses on Sunday.
"I have faith in the crime branch probe under the supervision of IG Sreejith. He is efficient," the actor-turned-politician said. "However, how the persons who appointed him would make use of the IG, in this case, is a concern."
Meanwhile, miscreants torched the house of Congress block president Rajan Periya overnight Saturday, destroying a car and furniture in the household. Cops suspect kerosine filled bottles hurled into the house and lit the fire.
