Ananatapur: The CBI team investigating the murder case is staying at Pulivendula and went to the residence of Dastagiri, the fourth accused who had turned approver, in Pulivendula on Tuesday.
Dastagiri apprehended a threat to his life from Avinash Reddy and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as he cooperated with CBI in the investigations after turning himself as approver. In this context, the CBI team that went to Dastagiri’s house enquired with him about the security he is getting from the local police.
It was after Dastagiri reported to the Kadapa SP that he was suspecting a life threat that the district police increased his security with a 2+2 gunmen's team.
The CBI officials also met Ranganna, watchman of Vivekananda Reddy’s house, who was a key witness in the murder case and alerted him about his personal safety. Ranganna was reportedly at the house of Vivekanda Reddy on the day of the murder.
