Monsoon covers entire Telangana; bountiful to Nirmal
Hyderabad: The Telangana state received heavy to very heavy rainfall on Sunday night in the areas of Nizamabad, Nirmal, Kamareddy and others locations.
Nirmal recorded the highest rainfall of upto 16.58 cm.
However, the city received a rainfall of 6.6 cm in the locality of Jubilee Hills as per the Telangana State Planning Development Society (TSPDS).
On Monday morning, Hyderabad remained cloudy in most of the parts and light to moderate rain occurred only at isolated locations.
With this rain, the monsoon has covered the entire state.
The Indian Meteorological Department in its daily weather report stated, “Southwest monsoon has been normal over Telangana state. Heavy rain occurred at isolated places in the districts of Nizamabad, Nirmal, Kamareddy,K umaram Bheem, Sangareddy of Telangana state.”
Not much damage has been reported in the state as the rains were not accompanied by gusty winds.
The latest forecast by the IMD for Telangana state says that light to moderate rain or thundershowers is very likely to occur at a few places over Telangana for the next five days.
Hyderabad has recorded a temperature of 34.6°C, which is three degrees above normal.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.1°C.
